Lines: 10 There is an excellent manual that explains it all: Device I/O Concepts and Tutorials. It has a section on concepts, and routines, explanations and dependecies. There is nothing wrong with the 7.0 DIL routines, and is very widely used, so I have to believe you are making some (hopefully simple) mistake. Keep trying! Paul Perlmutter
