In Unix it would be fairly straightforward but I am not finding an answer in DOS. Lets say I have a program and I want to redirect the output of com1 (or any of the others, ie. com2, lpt[1-3] ). Now I want to redirect the output to a FILE, so that anything this program produces and thinks it is sending to com1 is actually going to FILE.txt. Device, mode both seem to be dead ends; any ideas or is there some el-cheapo software to overcome this problem. If interested I will summarize to the net and any interested parties. Thanks in advance, Thomas raich@acc.stolaf.edu
