Keywords: video ROM WGS Message-ID: <1991Mar28.140541.1739@cbnewsi.att.com> Date: 28 Mar 91 14:05:41 GMT Followup-To: comp.sys.att Distribution: usa Organization: AT&T Bell Laboratories Lines: 10 I have an AT&T 6386 WGS 20 MHz PC with a Cardinal 600 video board and a NEC Multisync II monitor. The video ROM is at paragraphs C000-C7FF. It also gets copied to E800-EFFF! This ROM code copy seems to happen automatically on any AT&T 6386 WGS machine. Is there a way I can disable this code from being copied? I'd like to use E800-EFFF for TSRs and device drivers via QEMM. With the faster 16 bit video boards copying the ROM automatically seems, to me, like a waste of memory. Karl Barnhardt krb@homxa.ho.att.com
