In fact, the drive will fit into the empty drive bay w/o problems! ================================================================= RE: hard disk in Amstrad 1512 I've added a Western Digital hard card to a 1512. I haven't experienced any problems. The machine has an XT bus. One thing to watch out for if you use a hard card is how it is powered. Some use a cable to get power from the power supply, since the supply is in the monitor this is a problem. You need to get one that gets its power from the XT bus. The Amstrad power supply is fairly small, so you don't want a power hungry card. I've been told that Amstrad made their own hard drive for the machine. I haven't investigated this. ================================================================= | Options Unlimited Jim Johnson, CPC | | Unix Personnel Services Internet: jjohnson@uujobs.com | | Voice: (301) 587-2338 uucp: uunet!uujobs!jjohnson | | FAX: (301) 585-4779 Compuserve: 72357,2473 | | USmail: PO Box 11023, Silver Spring, MD 20913 | =================================================================
