Connect Information Service, a pay Mac-oriented BBS with a fairly 
impressive interface, was offering a 15-minute free demonstration last
summer. (Perhaps it's still offering the demonstration.) Before you can
try it out, you have to enter a credit card number.
 
I tried it out and decided not to subscribe. A few months later, they billed
me about $25 on my Visa account. I assume that this is sloppiness rather
than dishonesty, but they don't answer their mail. I have complained to my
Visa bank about the charge.
 
Connect sounds like a neat idea, but I wish they would resolve their billing
problems.
