I need to clean up some images, and then overlay text and graphics (lines, arrows, markers, etc.) onto them. What should I get? I have heard good things about Adobe Photoshop. Are there any other packages that rival it? Is the $500 mail order price for it not really worth it? Is it overkill? I am using an HP Scanjet Plus with a Mac IIci. Please e-mail and I will summarize if there is enough interest.
