Take a fax machine (not a card). That's function #1. Add the ability to scan to disk (you already have the scanner) and you have a scanner. That's function #2. Since it already can talk on the phone, let it function as an ordinary modem. Function #3. Since it already can print things, add an interface to your computer and make it into a printer. Function #4. Since it already can both scan and print, redirect the scanner to the printer and you have a copying machine. That's function #5. So - take a fax machine and add a microprocessor, some RAM, some interfaces and some connectors. Why doesn't Sony make this?
