I'm not able, it seems, to un-binHex files from several ftp sites. I've recently downloaded several of the 6.0.7 system disk image files from apple.com, but get a CRC error when I try to un-BinHex 'em. I've used unsit on our Sun-SLC (vers 1.5) and tried the "Decode BinHex File..." routine (result is "Can't verify integrity of source... use carefully" error). I also got a copy of BinHex 4.0 from sumex; it bleeps and gives me a CRC$ error message. I've tried downloading these files several times and several ways, both to the Sun and directly to my Mac (via MacTCP/Telnet). I was successful in decoding the two Utilities disks and Printing Tools disk images, but no luck on the System Tools and EtherTalk installer images. I also am having the same difficulty with Eudora from Berkley. Any ideas? I tried shortening the file names; I think someone suggested that as well. Thanks, netters! -- Bruce Jackson NASA Langley Research Center MS 489, Hampton, VA 23665 (804) 864-4060
