Pk., MD 20742 Lines: 17 I want to get a Mac II for a research project. Parts of this project are Unix depedent, and I'm not willing to rewrite the code to have it work on a Mac. On the other hand, I love Macs, so I would like to ask those people out there that have used AU/X (2.1?) if they could send me their comments about this product. For example: 1) How compatible is AU/X with, say, BSD 4.3? 2) If we consider a Mac IIci 5/80: - How fast does it work compared to, say, a Sun 3/50? - How much disk space does AU/X use? How much left for me? - If disk space not enogh, what disk make/size would you suggest? - Is 5MB memory enough? If not, how much do I need? 3) I would like to get a good 16"-19" color monitor. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, -Eduardo Ostertag (ostertag@cs.umd.edu)
