Chang), Carnegie Mellon, Pittsburgh, PA asks: I am trying to print a text file that is in postscript format directly to an apple laserwriter. Is there a program that I can call that will print this file as a postscript file. I would like to avoid using MS Word and the such like. Any and all response is appreciated. kevin delafield kd26+@andrew.cmu.edu I posted this question a few days ago and received several replies. Thanks to those that responded! Methods suggested: SendPS (vers. 2.0 on Sumex-aim.stanford.edu) MS Word 4.0 (define document style as postscript) I tried SendPS and it was slow but it worked on an fx (6.0.5). I didn't try Word but the manual suggests this is a fine method. Someone sent me Altsys LaserWriter downloader 1.3 but I couldn't get it to work.... Finally I discovered that the MPW "Commando Print" dialog gives PostScript print option that will do the job (tho the picture and its postscript commands were printed--I'm sure there's a way to avoid this (?))
