Lines: 18 I'm a graduate student looking for advice. I recently bought an NCR-Mini-Tower as a platform for wordprocessing and software design for my thesis research. The question is, will the Mini-Tower support the software (EMACS, gcc, g++, TeX) I need. If not, I got the machine cheap enough to resell and recoup my money, if I do it quickly. Has anyone ported the GNU software to the Mini-Tower? TeX? If so, can you send me the code and/or binaries? When the software is complete, I plan to run the ``production'' code on a more capable remote machine. Is there a public-domain version software for the TCP/IP protocol which I can use to link the Mini-Tower with other systems? Thanks --- both for your help and your patience with novices!
