As far as I understand it, the version of Sybase that comes with the NeXT systems (or is available [soon ??] for a copy/media charge is a limited user (5) version that only works from NeXT to NeXT. You can upgrade the product though for more users and interplatform capabilities, but that costs $$. At least there is a way to develop SQL stuff relatively cheap.
