Being new to Unix, I'm not sure what all of these programs bearing clever
names such as elk, flex, bison, etc... really are.  Would it be possible
for people to put in a brief explanation of the programs in along with
the posting announcing it's availability?  This would save me from downloading
every new thing I see in /pub/next/2.0-release/sources.  A retroactive 
listing placed along with the files in this and the 1.0-release directories
would be nice but probably too much to ask.
