I have Cnews and trn (threaded news reader) running on my Nextstation and they work fine. I can't say that I "ported" them since all I did is answer the usuall 100 questions for Cnews and it simply compiled. As for trn, it has Larry Wall's meta-compiler front end to the make files ( IMHO a great piece of work) and there was no problem getting it to work either. I did have to set a NAME env. variable to get trn to stop trying to use yp to get my name but otherwise things went smoothly. (having a wizard class unix friend didn't hurt either :-) ) Chuck
