there seems to have been a large number of inquiries regarding erasable optical
drives for the SG. i am also interested in these animals (or think i am), but i would 
like some success/horror stories before i jump off the deep end. 

- sources?
- performance characteristics (can i treat these like a hard drive or will
i have a significant decrease in response time?)
- success/failure in networking?
- any GSA sources?
