Keywords: aux size hard disk iisi Message-ID: <1124@uncw.UUCP> Date: 26 Mar 91 02:19:26 GMT Distribution: comp.unix.aux Organization: Univ. of North Carolina at Wilmington Lines: 25 I am planning to purchase a hard drive and AUX for my IIsi. Can anyone recommend a particular hard drive? I don't want to spend too much money. I was thinking of the Quantum LPS105.(good/bad?) also, the Wren Runner II 330meg??(a little expensive) or the Maxtor(80meg)? I have seen the quantum for $499 and I understand that they are fairly fast. The Wren drive from APS is $1599(I think) and is very fast from what I hear. Finally, the Maxtor is $429 from APS. Is it too slow or ok. Is 80megs sufficient initially? Is 105megs Sufficient? Any experiences/suggestions are appreciated. Also, How much ram do I need. I know Apple says 4megs minimum but how much is recommended. I have 5 now. Is it better to spend the money to move up to 9, or spend the money and move up the the Wren drive? Thanks for any info, Kane McKenzie
