I have system 1 connected into our ethernet through a DEC delni in location1. I have systems 2-4 connected into our ethernet through another DEC delni in location2. Systems 2-4 are up and running and know about each others addresses. On starting up TCP on system 1 it cannot resolve the addresses for systems 2-4. If I tell it the address then it can communicate with them. In addition systems 2-4 can communicate with system 1 from the start. Now, if I disconnect system 1 from location1 and plug it into location2 the whole problem goes away. System 1 can suddenly resolve everyone's addresses and all is well. Can anyone shed any light on what is happening here ?
