(was install problem) Message-ID: <8961@mentor.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 28 Mar 91 18:31:30 GMT Organization: Purdue University Lines: 13 OK, so I figured out what was locking the machine, now I want to know WHY. When I had previously run windows on this machine, it had a MVGA monitor, now its hooked up to a Sony 1304. Even though I was only trying to install 640X480X16, it wouldn't work unless i specified a mono monitor. The New Question: Why will windows run on my machine in MVGA mode, but lock up when I try to run CVGA? Does color require more than 640K(system)? --Steve Stancliff (steves@mentor.cc.purdue.edu) (stanclif@gn.ecn.purdue.edu)
