I hear it is >new and improved and comes with word processing features this time. I have. It has a story editor which is a mininum level word processor. It does do spell check and word wrap but doesn't show you WYSIWYG while in story edit mode (of course it DOES while in pagemaker mode, being the whole point and all). >I also know that it comes with Adobe Type Manager 1.0. Does anyone know >if it only comes with the original handful of fonts (Times, Courier, Helvetica>Symbol), or does it come with the whole set (including Avante Garde, New Cent. >Schoolbook, etc.)? Actually mine came with ATM 1.1 (I still haven't got the upgrade I called the 800 # for, hmm.) It makes use of the fonts installed for windows and ATM. I do have avante garde but I believe I got that from cica.cica. I don't have New Cent. or Schoolbook so they didn't come with PM4 but maybe they are available via ftp. >Furthermore, does it use the Windows cut and paste buffer. For example, can >I cut a picture out of Micrografx Designer and paste it with ease in PM? Well I don't have Micrografx Designer so I tried it with Paint and it worked just swell. I do have Draw Plus but only the pre Win3 version and they still haven't sent me my upgrade--I'm about to switch to Corel, dammit. > >Anyone with any hints, clues, or special info please post or email me. I have been using PM4 extensively on the Mac and had 3.0whatever on the PC and I find PM4 on the PC to have evened up the interface so that it very closely resembles the mac. The keystrokes for changing font styles in the pc are ^I for Italic for example while the MAC uses I or is that I? I'm very very pleases with PM4 for the PC but wish I had a better printer! -- Jackie Burhans (burhans@usc.edu) Data Stylist, USC Student Affairs
