 Hi!
 
 
 I want to configure XView on my system , and have the source for version2 from
 MIT . It is in the form of xview2.tar.Z.a a-i!. I just am at a loss as to how
 I should merge these tar files into one. I tried earlier and there was a
 difference of one byte and the thing bombed. Basically , I tried :
 
 
 cat xview2.tar.Z.a a-i! >> xview2.tar.Z
 
 where xview2.tar.Z was a existing file of zero bytes .
 
 
 Well , the file ( as mentioned in the documentation ) should have had 4132499
 bytes but by doing what I did created a file of 4132498 bytes , the a'rithme-
 ic sum of all individual files .
 Clearly ,I missed something and can anybody help me ?
