Why does he still keep following me V> all over the apartment, everywhere I go for any reason at all. Vixen, Don't worry, cause this is a habit that all newer guide dogs seem to have. Bad, Bad LeeRoy Lab still follows me around too, but I found that Strider lost this compulsive behavior after a while. I'm pretty sure it was around his 12th birthday! V> Unless my mutt is sound asleep, the minute he sees me move, he V> is right after me and often he tries to get right in front of me V> so I can trip over him! Seriously, you just ain't running into him hard enough! LeeRoy used to get in my way like this too, and he still does get in the way of other blind people who are here, but he pretty much has learned to stay clear of my path when I'm moving and he is following. I figure it is the combination of me being able to scream louder than most, and because of the higher number of contacts we have had that he finally learned to stay out of my way, but finally he did do just that. V> bathroom! Gee whiz. Even when I take a shower or bath, he wants V> to get in with me! In fact, once he even tried to get in the V> bathtub with my room mate! That Toby is one lucky pooch, isn't he? Willie ... Like a bat out of Bellevue! -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!129!89!William.Wilson Internet: William.Wilson@f89.n129.z1.fidonet.org
