It is not hard for a deaf child with deaf parents to have easy communication at home, but deaf children with hearing parents DO have a hard time. ASL is not their first language always, so that is why there is so much argument, I think. To me, the most important choice about language is to pick what the child can understand, or be able to use different languages if that helps. Thanks for your reply. I hope to hear from you again.
