Keywords: checklist, archive Message-ID: <1991Mar25.153301.858@midway.uchicago.edu> Date: 25 Mar 91 15:33:01 GMT Sender: eric@midway.uchicago.edu (Eric Nelson) Distribution: na Organization: University of Chicago Lines: 18 Is there any sort of archive that stores a current copy of the American Ornithological Union Checklist of the Birds, and/or any PD software for DOS? I am relatively ignorant concerning birding, so I am not aware of any net resources, while my father knows birding but is new to computing (and has no net access). I saw the references in recent postings to Plover, datahawk and Birdbrain, and to Birder magazine, so I could look in those directions if necessary. Nonetheless, if there is anything available on the net that I could get to him, he would really enjoy it. Thanks for the help. Electronic mail responses (I presume) would be best, although if there is interest, I will compile responses and post them. Eric Nelson Academic & Public Confusion University of Chicago
