   I must apologize for not spelling out what GRO was.  I forget that there 
are people out in net-land that haven't been living with it like I have.

   This is the first gamma ray astronomical observatory to be launched in a 
decade.  You may remember Solar Maximum Mission (or SMM or SolarMax).  It 
did a nose dive into the drink last year!

   For launch information try telneting into "grossc.gsfc.nasa.gov" use the 
username GRONEWS (no password).  (P.S. GROSSC is Gamma Ray Observatory
