We had previously had lots of trouble installing version 5 so I was very nervous about version 6. I recommend getting the distribution on tape cartridge. I put in the cartridge and was able to do the entire installation on a remote dialup. We installed all the products but I can only attest to the ones we have been using which are sqlforms30, sqlplus, plsql, reportwriter and sqlnet. The whole process went without a hitch. We only needed to call Oracle to straighten out the terminal configuration which it kept thinking was a vt100 (we use an SCO console emulation). If you are worried about the installation script I can tell you from my experience that they have finally made it painless! Mark Citron -- Mark Citron mark@neurosci.usc.edu
