I own two Western Electric 2500 DM sets that were formerly used on a LARGE centrex system (two NNX prefixes!). What is the difference between a 2500 DM and a "normal" 2500 set? One of these sets is on the desk beside my computer as I type this. It works just fine, and rings properly even though I don't have party line service. Both sets were manufactured in the late 70's and appear to have been reconditioned at some time in the mid 80's.
