the format command is basicly the same from version 1 on it changes in
      version 4.0. Prior to 4.0 the /4 switch is for doing a 360 in a 1.2
      to do a 720 in a 1.44 you must use /N:9 /T:80. in dos 4.0 you would
      issue the size switch like /F:720 or /F:360 etc...
