Currently, they use Interpoll and telnet to the Gatorbox to get its statistics. This is unsatisfactory. They would like something along the lines of a monitoring station that can query the Gatorbox to see if it is still on-line and collect statistics. They want to become proactive in their approach. Common situations are: Gatorboxes not working at all, Gatorboxes allowing appletalk traffic but no telnet sessions, etc, etc. They want to collect stats so they can determine if there is a pattern (ie, unusual high number of bad blocks). Thanks for the info!
