It's a hardware problem. Well, before nay one else prints this, there is an ad in the current Amiga World for a 68040 accelerator board for the A2000. The thing that makes it incomplete is that I saw the same ad about a year ago, when they thought the 68040 would have been available. But the ad is there (page 53).
