In theory, you don't need Cnews. AmigaUUCP contains all you need. In practice, some people have found Cnews to be necessary. I'm not sure exactly what the circumstances are, but people who connect to multiple sites seem to be the ones most frequently finding that AmigaUUCP isn't adequate.
