I believe the problems belong to MSH, and not IBeM (except for the interminably slow speed 8). I can't seem to write to the drive without the drive just locking, the light left on, with no head movement. I've tried DOS 3.3 and 4.0. Symptoms under 4.0 were the 4.0 INSTALL program locking up from the opening screen. I also tried deleting the autoexec.bat file from the disk via an AmigaDOS shell delete command. It said immediately that the file was deleted. It wasn't. If I typed delete again it would say that the file wasn't there, but the drive would lock up. If I instead tried to list the directory, it would simply lock up. Under 3.3, I tried saving from a game and it died while saving. Does anyone have any ideas? IBeM specifies MSH, but can CrossDOS be used instead? Thanks for any help, especially help in speeding up IBeM! -- Ethan Q: How many Comp Sci majors does it take to change a lightbulb A: None. It's a hardware problem.
