It's not a good idea, and not safe for the long term, but if you're just transporting few megabytes of files down to your local NeXT (or other system running HD/ED drives) SOME DD disks can take it. However, the drive SHOULD be checking for that hole anyway. Let's just have it documented so some of us can BYPASS the switch :-) That's another thing, any chance these new drives could do ED (2.88 MB)?
