  Here is an idea --- How about a recent uploads list? Keep a list of
new files uploaded for 7 days. Then archive the file lists in a
directory. Simple direct and HIGHLY USEFUL. 

  This would also keep down BITFTP people grabbing the whole FILES.Z
for new files as often.
