Dark Castle and Beyond Dark Castle were specifically designed to work for both the Amiga and the ST (boo) so they were done in 16 colors (for compatibility). BDC takes every advantage of what the Amiga can do for that game. I also did Dick Tracy on the Genesis. I am now doing a CDTV version of an existing Amiga game (more on this when it is done). I also reverse engineered the Genesis for EA. I did all of this (except for Dark Castle) in the last two years. I must also point out (for both Mike's sake and mine) that to truly judge a port, you need to judge it against the original version as well as how well it turned out on the Amiga. I can tell you that Dark Castle was a smash hit on the Mac, as was Crystal Quest (Mike's latest work). Budokan was rated by AmigaWorld as the 17th best game of the year last year. Dark Castle was nominated (among 200+ entries) for best port of the year in 1986 by the SPA (Software Publisher's Association) and finished in the top 7 (DeskView 2.0 on the PC, a windowed operating system, won). Dark Castle also was given the best possible review in AmigaWorld. I must also point out that Dark Castle was my first Amiga game, and I wouldn't rate the game very high by today's Amiga standards. >-- > adam hill -- hill@evax.uta.edu ASOCC - University of Texas at UTA > I programmed for three days Make Up Your Own Mind..
