It seems to me that if it boots from a floppy, it isn't much of a workstation. If there isn't any productivity software (word processors, spreadsheets, draw programs), etc., that you can easily run on the machine, you can't do much work on it. Try fitting a word processor, the OS, fonts, and all the rest of the things you need on a floppy.
