Never have tried it before. So..... John, I don't work at HP/Apollo but here some info on my configuration, maybe some of it will be helpful. 1) Have in /dev: "char rmt_scsi 0 rmts8" 2) Omniback 1.2 installed. 3) Running 10.3 (Aug 22 1990) 4) Installed Patch 0233. 5) ts on wbak: 1990/03/19 9:55:18 CST (Mon) 6) ts on rbak: 1990/02/15 15:53:43 CST (Thu) 7) Have Exabyte EXB-8200 Rev level 251K on SCSI Target 1 in a DEM. 8) DEM attached to DN4500, 16MB, 697MB disk, 60MB Cart tape 9) DEM does have another 697MB disk in it I used "wbak dirname -dev m0 -f 1 -l -rewind" to tape drive and "rbak -dev m0 -f 1 -rewind -l" to restore data.
