It seems a waste to use a 40 meg tape for a 20 meg archive. It would be nice to put another archive at the tail end of the first (similar to rbak/wbak). I have tried all permutations of the available "tar" options with no success. Am I missing something here, or is what I am trying to do not possible? On a similar note, any opinions of "cpio"?
