With regard to the backup question, the answer is yes... ProSel will allow you to select the drive/partition to which the backup is to be restored; it need not be the same drive/partition which was backed up... A warning though... if the backedup/restored drive/partition was running under ProSel, you'll have to go in and redo all of your menus to align the paths to the new partition. (I go through this about once a quarter when I realign everything on a stupid whim) as far as the bad block question goes I cannot help you there. randy@oswego.oswego.edu
