I am assuming you know nothing -- most certainly incorrect (you probably knmow more about DECwrite than I do) but I didn't want to leave anything out. Pull down on the Style menu pulldown and go over to the Paragraph Style submenu and pick Body Text. Modify the Leading option (defaults to 2 I think) to be something else. Hit Apply and you will see the spacing between the lines change. When you are happy with the result, push OK and this will save those options for the document you are working on. This may not be The Best or Definitive Way but it does work for me. Fred
