It is probably JUST YOU, since the versions since 2 (and 3 now) are MUCH MUCH faster than the previous ones. It is even difficult to play them at high levels (even though in ver.3 there is some bug that makes it slower with levels...). Check the tetris you have , you probably have the wrong versions.
