I am a software [stuff deleted] Yes, the Mac cable works. I use one all the time. EduCalc has them, their phone number is 1-800-633-2252, and the part number is #82209AW for the cable only. The Interface kit includes a Mac disk of software that won't run on the NeXT. To get it running, plug it into port A or port B on the back of the motherboard card, and use kermit set at 9600 baud to talk to /dev/ttya or /dev/ttyb. I find it easiest to set up a send on the NeXT and then operate the receive on the 48sx manually. I tried the server mode on the 48sx, but I ran into a few problems and gave up. I forget what the problems were. Otherwise it works great. Be sure to set the 48sx for binary, 8, no parity, and 1 stop bit. > > Steve Donahue Internet: scd@cis.ufl.edu > CIS Engineering NeXTmail: pending > University of Florida -- Andrew C.
