Message-ID: <41549@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU> Date: 2 Apr 91 06:56:42 GMT Sender: nobody@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Organization: U.C. Berkeley Lines: 10 I have to transfer the contents of my unix account to msdos. As I have many directories and files I should like to do this as efficiently as possible, i.e. I do not want to do a file transfer of each file! Should I make a tar file of the my entire directory and use one of the pd untar utilities to extract it or is there a better way? As I shall be transferring things via modem (at 2400bps), I wouldn't mind some compression as well. Cheers, -Graham
