Robarts Research Institute, London, Ontario Lines: 12 Originator: wlsmith@valve.heart.rri.uwo.ca The situation: 16 Mhz el cheapo 286 MB (VLSI chipset) WD1003 SR2 2:1 RLL hard/floppy controller stupid little mono graphics card w/printer port Tried 2 different mono-graphics cards, but they interfere with the hard drive controller (drive does a half boot, then hangs). Works fine with an oem svga card. Question: Why should cheap stupid little mono graphics cards interfere with the hard drive controller card? Memory conflicts? (shouldn't, the controller can't occupy the same space as the display). Any ideas?
