I finaly got my hands on an AMD 80287.  I also downloaded a program from
simtel that appears to be an 80287 diagnostic written by Intel.  The diagnostic
ran without a hitch and even reported that I had an "Intel" 80287 installed.
My guess is that this coprocessor would work just fine on Autocad.
