The mainframe here is hooked up to the 286 as a terminal. Therefore, if I ftp somewhere, and try to download something, it'll have to be to the pc. Strategy employed: ftp to sumex, get desired binhexed file, list on screen while capturing to a file ( presumably a straight ascii file), translate with Apple File Exchange in the IIcx, and undecode with Stuffit 1.5. No success. I have tried this three times, each time the file seems to lack resource forks. Anything I am doing wrong? (BTW, I enter MS Word, edited out everything beyond the terminating "::"'s, and saved as text. Icon appears during deBinhexing, but unable to launch application) Any help? Please? -rich Richard Sucgang : Dept. of Anatomy and Cell Biology Columbia University (sucgang@cuhhca.hhmi.columbia.edu; de slime god rs54@cunixf.cc.columbia.edu)
