Greetings !

Here is the story:
 
My friend has some graphic files(GIF ?) on mainframe that he wants to send to me
. So he
 converted them into either pict (for Mac) or TIFF format, uuencoded and sent
to me through Email. After decoding them, I downloaded to my Mac through Binary
Kermit or Binary Xmodem.  However,  I can never open them as PICT or TIFF files.
They can only be read as text.

I don't know much about computer.  Can someone tell me where the problem is ?
