I recently acquired ResEdit 2.1, through Alley and Strange's book.  For some
bizarre reason, the new version includes ZOOM rectangles for nearly every
window operation.  Previous versions have never used this "feature," and the
new version doesn't even have a toggle to turn it off I find it extremely 
irritating: it unnecessarily slows down the program.  One thing I've always 
liked about ResEdit has been how crisp its responsiveness was; this new 
version is comparable to walking in mud, despite all the neat features.
