Keywords: swapfile Message-ID: <46488@ut-emx.uucp> Date: 31 Mar 91 07:06:45 GMT Organization: The University of Texas at Austin; Austin, Texas Lines: 16 Last night I was in root removing files from the 105M hard disk to free up some space. I accidentaly double clicked on the icon for /private/vm/swapdisk. This started up 'Edit', which then tried to open the swapfile. Needless to say both the computer and I had a fit! I forced the workspace to the front and loged out. By the time the log out was complete several minutes had elapsed. When I logged back in, the swapfile had exploded, and I only have 8.77MB free on the hard disk. The swap file has a size reading of 27467776 (~26MB). Any help in reducing the size of the swapfile would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Raghu
