Everytime we try to bring it up we get an error message that goes something like: Low byte parity error at address Does anyone know what could cause such an error? We don't have any hardware manuals to look the error up in. Please help. The sun contains the following: 5 Mb RAM Mono video SCSI controller SCSI=>MFM (Adaptec4000) controller 71 Mb MFM hard disk QIC11 tape drive We were thinking that the error could be coming from either something something on the VME bus or on the SCSI bus. If this is true, how can we test it? Any help would be appreciated. -Freeman PS - If someone has an extra set of Sun 2/50 hardware manuals (or even a partial set) make me an offer. I'll probably take them.
