Message-ID: <91087.235217RFM@psuvm.psu.edu> Date: 29 Mar 91 04:52:17 GMT Organization: Penn State University Lines: 7 I have a Tnady 1400hd. It comes with an NEC V20 microprocessor, 8-mhz type. I'm thinking of pulling that chip and replacing it with a 10-mhz V20 chip that I have. What I'm wondering is whether it would be worth the effort performance-wise. I've read that switching the chips won't pose any risks to the system (nothing wil blow up, etc.), but would the switch up the speed of operations any? Bob M, PSU-Harrisburg
